Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC was born March 4 1954. O'Hara has won numerous distinctions which include an award called a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. In the year 2020, she was awarded the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress while she was part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Alongside John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the primary casting in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy began working in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
